At some point yesterday evening, large notices appeared in the field opposite our house. This plot of ground has been empty ever since we first moved into Milton Keynes, nine years ago. According to the local plan it's supposed to be set aside for an independent school...Putting two and two together, it looks like the Homes and Communities Agency have the task of handling the land - possibly making it available for affordable housing...
I'm not a NIMBY, but I was a little affronted by the way this was done - slapping in "Keep off!" signs on a Friday night with no warning... Not the most subtle way of dealing with locals...
