I did the eight O'clock communion this morning - my last Sunday service in Watling Valley for a while... Roger did his duty as church warden and sent me on my way... I preached about Paul in Athens, comparing his experience with that of Izzy in the Greek zone at Parc Asterix. Then it was off to Whaddon Way church for a pulpit swap with Alan Bird. The theme of the service was taken from the Sermon on the Mount and involved murder, hate, adultery and lust - hard to pick any good hymns on this theme! It was good to be there and see some old friends.
