This evening I had the great privilege of inducting Mike Archer as Rector of St Mary's Bletchley. It was great to spend the evening with the people of St Mary's since I have many old and new friends in the congregation - the music was good too!Mike was keen to make this a low key occasion but we did give him a bit of attention and encouragement - since we all need some of that from time to time.
We did stop short of bowing and scraping, but I believe the band have written a song... and there was cake afterwards - having already attended one service this evening, I skipped the cake and headed home.
